SCOTT DUNN LAUNCHES ITS FIRST EVER UK-BASED EXPLORERS KIDS CLUB AT THE ICONIC GLENEAGLES, SCOTLAND – LAUNCHING 1ST AUGUST 2020

  • – Fun-filled creative activities and high-octane challenges are tailored to children aged four months – mid teens
  • Starting 1st August 2020 as a summer pop-up, Scott Dunn invites families to step into the great outdoors as it brings its award-winning Explorers Kids Club to the iconic Gleneagles in Scotland – a first for the UK. The fun-filled action-packed programme will allow visitors to explore the hotel’s glorious playground of extensive activities and country pursuits within its 850-acre sporting estate. Ideal for families with children of all ages, yearning for fresh air and green space, Explorers at Gleneagles is a chance for children to reconnect with their peers and engage in a host of stimulating supervised activities, leaving parents able to enjoy some much-needed downtime, safe in the knowledge that their wee ones are in capable hands.Activities will be based in The Trail Yard and will include Fairy & Dragon Hunts for Globetrotters (4 months to 2 years); nature walks with Gleneagles’ resident Henry the Dog, tennis lessons and stable tours with Hettie the Horse available to Adventurers (3 – 4 years) and Voyagers (5 – 7 years).  Older children – the Pioneers (8 – 11 years) and Crew (11+ years) can try their hands at tree climbing, falconry, clay pigeon shooting, off roading on ArgoCats and even compete in their very own version of the Highland Games – tossing mini cabers on the hotel’s front lawn. Whilst the focus will be very much on the great outdoors, Little Glen, a vibrant and fully supervised crèche for toddlers, complete with an indoor treehouse and slide, play stables with hobby horses and the legendary Gleneagles Express railway carriage. The Den is a recreational hangout for young teenagers, featuring a relaxed cinema room, arts and crafts, pool and air hockey and super-sized board games.

    With all this newfound time on their hands, parents can relax in the pool and health club, tee off on three championship golf courses or hone their equestrian, fishing or clay pigeon shooting skills. Gleneagles’ flexible range of beautiful suites, interconnecting rooms and additional in-room cribs and cots offer luxury, space and all the comforts of home. The hotel has also developed a meticulous new set of safety protocols, to provide the highest standards of safety at all times. An enhanced set of hygiene and safety measures have been implemented across the estate to provide even greater peace of mind.

    HOW: The Explorers Kids Club at Gleneagles will run daily from 10am – 3pm, accommodating four age groups. Rates starts from £5,950 for a family of four for five nights and from £8,450 for seven nights – both on a bed and breakfast basis.
