Following the extraordinary success of Faena’s first original production, C’est Rouge!, the theatre offering at Faena Hotel Miami Beach continues to expand with the enchanting magic show, Magique by Kevin & Caruso. Magique launched on 19th March in Faena’s remarkable 3,000 square foot theatre and will run on corresponding nights, alongside Faena’s original production, C’est Rouge!.
The latest addition to the roster is the fascinating, Magique, where the illusionist’s will bring some amazing new magic (such as Lord Caruso’s levitating trick), wild handmade costumes, glorious gimmicks and fantastic surprises. The family-friendly Magique blends grand illusions and spectacular attires with a dose of comedy and cirque. All of this is accompanied by a powerful soundtrack, interactive multimedia backgrounds, stunning special effects, and a cast of Broadway calibre dancers.
Joining Kevin & Caruso on stage for the first time will be special guest Madame Houdini. “The art of magic has been dominated by men for centuries. We wanted our new show at Faena to have something truly unique and special”, says Kevin. “Madame Houdini’s incredible aerial and athletic skills have allowed her to reinvent Houdini-type stunts such as an upside down straight jacket escape, and a finale feat that will leave you breathless!”
Hotel guests and locals are invited to experience live performances in the unparalleled in-house theatre, tucked in the basement of Faena Hotel Miami Beach. Designed by Alan Faena, the intimate but stylish Faena Theatre evokes the grand style of European opera houses, juxtaposing it with the glamour of 1950’s Miami. The glamorous space is marked by gold-leaf and red velvet decor, a dramatic curtain and statement chandelier.
Past Faena Theater performances include the venerable South American artists Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, electrifying songwriter and musician Grace Potter, alt-synth trio Miike Snow and R&B sensations Andra Day and Miguel.
Magique by Kevin & Caruso will run on Sundays and Tuesdays from 19th March at Faena Theatre. Doors open at 7pm for dinner and the shows begin at 8pm. Tickets start from $65 per adult (including two glasses of house wine or beers) and $45 per child aged 13 – 21 years old and includes non-alcoholic drinks. Tickets available at ticketmaster.com.
