To celebrate the 500^th anniversary of renowned Philipponnat Champagne, enthusiasts visiting Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa this summer can enjoy exclusive access to the Philipponnat domaine. Established in the heart of the Champagne wine-growing area, the House possesses a truly unique heritage. Over five centuries, the Philipponnat family has left its mark on the soil of the region and in the 16^th century, the family’s ancestors were winegrowers, merchants, and suppliers to the court of Louis XIV. Guests booking this package will be greeted at the hotel with a bottle of limited edition Philipponnat Champagne, in addition to a special book celebrating the House’s 500^th anniversary. During a visit to the domaine, visitors can enjoy a stroll in Clos des Goisses, a magical walled vineyard with perfect sun exposure and spectacular slopes, making it the first in the region to have become a single plot cuvée. Before delighting in a tasting, guests can visit the historic 18^th century cellars, quarried out of chalk, to learn more about the different stages of the Champagne-making process. The ‘Royal Sleep Experience’ includes a stay in one of the hotel’s soundproofed Junior Suites with blackout curtains and tailor-made pillows; a one-hour candle massage, made with specially adapted wax to soften and soothe the skin; and a uniquely tailored light menu to delight in at Le Bellevue restaurant.
