INTRODUCING… WYMARA RESORT & VILLAS

Wymara Resort & Villas is a privately-owned resort in Turks & Caicos located on Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, which is often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world

March 17thTURKS & CAICOS

Boutique in look and feel, the resort comprises just 91 guestrooms and suites, two restaurants, a full-service spa with daily fitness classes and an array of water sport activities. Guests looking for the ultimate private escape will love the recently launched standalone villas which sit just two miles away from the resort. Unlike anything else on the island, each offers modern indoor-outdoor architecture, an ocean view infinity pool, overwater swimming platforms and uninterrupted panoramic views of the shallow waters of Turtle Tail. Seven villas are available to book now with plans for an additional five to join the inventory by the end of 2020

CONTEMPORARY CARIBBEAN VILLA LIVING
The state-of-the-art four and five-bedroom villas, which launched in June 2018, have been thoughtfully designed by English architects Simon Nicholls and Chris Davies of Coast, who have created spacious indoor and outdoor living areas that make the most of the natural light. Each villa has an ocean view infinity pool and courtyard waterfall pool as well as an over water swim and sunbathing platform suspended over the impossibly blue water. A sunken firepit provides the perfect space to enjoy a night cap following a delicious BBQ prepared by a private chef, available on request. As well as enjoying access to all the main resort’s facilities via the complimentary on-demand transfer services, guests also have their own on-site villa manager, concierge, private chef and 24-hour security.  From April 2020, villa residents will have access to a brand-new recreational area, exclusively available for villa residents only. This will include a state-of-the-art gym, tennis court, basketball hoop, steam room, sauna, game room, heated whirlpool, bocce ball court and a 25-metre swimming pool.

THE SUITES & PENTHOUSES
Within the resort, the 91 guestrooms, suites and penthouses are housed in whitewashed buildings around the pool and along the powder white sands of Grace Bay Beach, most with ocean views. The design is contemporary in style with clean lines, a cool white palette and shots of vibrant colour. Suites have spacious living areas, state of the art kitchens and expansive terraces with impressive views. The crowning jewels are the Oceanfront Penthouse Suites, each measure over 3,700 square feet and boast expansive L-shaped terraces with some of the best views of Grace Bay Beach.

TIME TO SPA
After a strenuous day of swimming, sunbathing and exploring there is no better place to relax and rejuvenate than the Wymara Resort Spa. The Spa is home to three treatment rooms, including a couples’ suite, each with private shower gardens as well as a nail salon, wellbeing boutique and relaxation garden. All treatments are with Eminence Organic products which use sustainable farming and green practices to create natural, organic products that are free of parabens, colourants, and other harsh chemicals. Highlights include the Eminence Signature facial and the Provo Signature massage. There is also a 24-hour state of the art fitness centre where guests can book onto a selection of classes including barre, Pilates, HIIT and power yoga.

ISLAND DELICACIES
Wymara Resort & Villas is home to two restaurants both led by Executive Chef Joel Vallar from Southeast Asia and the Brand Chef, Australian Andrew Mirosch. Stelle sits on the edge of the signature infinity pool and offers Asian inspired dishes as well as other international cuisine. Each dish on the menu comes with a suggested wine pairing selected by the sommelier. Wymara’s second restaurant Zest is a casual oceanfront restaurant on the sands of Grace Bay Beach serving a menu of fresh salads, grilled meats, seafood and woodfired pizzas. As the sun sets and the sky starts to turn pink there is no better place to enjoy a glass of rose or a cocktail than the aptly named Pink Bar. There is also a calendar of seasonal events designed to celebrate holidays or special events such as beach BBQs, Caribbean Island Feasts and Fisherman’s Nights. The team can also curate highly personalised private dining experiences in room or on the beach, on request.

TURKS & CAICOS
The island is home to impeccable beaches, crystal clear waters and impressive coral reef systems. Wymara offers a selection of complimentary activities allowing guests to take advantage of this including kayaking, paddle boarding and hobie cat sailing trips. Turks & Caicos also has the third longest coral system in the world and there is an abundance of sites to be explored just moments from the resort. Guests can discover the waters by snorkelling and scuba diving excursions or even get PADI certified. Those wary of the deeper seas can try their hand at snuba, a hybrid of snorkelling and scuba diving where the air tank floats on a raft at the surface without needing to go too far offshore. Calm clear waters and island breeze also mean the conditions are perfect for kite boarding, wind surfing, sailing and parasailing. From late January to March guests can see the magnificent humpback whales as they migrate through the Turks Passage for birthing season off Salt Cay.
