The Lanesborough, a masterpiece hotel in the iconic Oetker Collection, has announced its partnership with BADA, the century-old British authority for leading antique dealers in the UK. Over three days from 6th – 8th October 2017, The Lanesborough will play host to a fine art and antiques fair, showcasing beautiful objects of outstanding quality for sale from 16 of BADA’s expert dealers – many of whom are world authorities in antiques.

Held in a Regency landmark, the three-day event – the first of its kind – will offer collectors, curators, art professionals and interior designers from across the city and beyond, the rare opportunity to meet BADA dealers, benefit from their extensive expertise, and purchase exceptional pieces of traditional, modern and contemporary art and antiques.

THE LANESBOROUGH – ONE OF BRITAIN’S MOST VIBRANT AND ELEGANT HOTELS
The Lanesborough has always been a staunch supporter of the arts. Housing an exquisite collection of historical works of art, the hotel is the perfect London pied-à-terre for those wanting to immerse themselves in the very best of British art and culture. The hotel is also recognised as a building of special architectural and historic interest with a Grade II* listed status. The Lanesborough completed an extensive renovation project in 2015, embodying the height of design and craftsmanship. The hotel’s meticulous attention to detail and bespoke design surpasses that usually entailed in hotel projects, cementing its position as London’s finest residence.

BADA – A TRADITION-STEEPED BRITISH INSTITUTION
Since its founding in 1917, BADA has set the standard for trading in the fine art and antiques industry. BADA dealers pride themselves on their reputation for integrity, the wide knowledge of their specialisations, and the exceptional quality of their stock. Pieces that will be on sale throughout the three-day fair will include the likes of an exquisite Louis XVI style gilt-bronze demi-lude commode, a pearl and diamond cane handle by Faberge, a parcel-gilt and bronze ‘Puck’ mounted on an Algerian Onyx pedestal, a Duke of York apothecary cabinet veneered in flame mahogany with bone escutcheon and brass, and an oil on board painting of Fleet Street, London by George Hyde-Pownall.
