Located in the historic heart of Cambridge and desirably overlooking Parker’s Piece, landmark hotel University Arms is delighted to announce the launch of the ultimate riverside experience, Fun on the River Cam. New for Summer 2022 and available year-round, the new experience allows guests to re-discover the beautiful River Cam and offers the opportunity to get outside, get active and reconnect with nature.

Showcasing the very best of the meadow-boarded, willow-shaded river, active aficionados can embrace a slower tempo and disconnect from the stresses of everyday life with the new river experience. Guests who book the package can choose from one of three unmissable waterside excursions; including a rejuvenating riverside breath-work session with Breathwork Expert Breathing Bliss; challenging the core with an introduction to stand-up paddle boarding with SUP Cambridge and an exhilarating rowing session with a local boat club captain. Those looking for further wellbeing-focussed experiences can head to the hotel’s 24/7 fitness suite, book a relaxing Aromatherapy Associates experience in one of the property’s new treatment rooms or head out on an adventure through the tranquil village of Grantchester on wheels, with the University Arms’ branded bikes.

Following a morning of activity, guests who book the experience can make the most of their time by the river and enjoy a lazy afternoon admiring the passing punters, indulging on a much-loved takeaway Afternoon Tea on the banks, created by the expert team at the hotel’s destination dining restaurant, Parker’s Tavern.

By night, guests will in one of the 192 beautifully and ‘playfully’ designed rooms and suites at the hotel. Serving up grown up glamour at its very finest, the quintessentially British hotel has played an important role in the history of the city and has been immaculately restored to its former glory since opening in 1834. After a two-year £80m transformation, the hotel reopened in 2018 with the literary and academic spirit of Cambridge at its heart. The hotel is home to destination restaurant Parker’s Tavern, bar, library, fitness suite, underground valet car park, and two treatment rooms.
