BAWAH RESERVE LAUNCHES HONEYMOON PACKAGES WITH SUSTAINABILITY AT THE HEART

Promising something for everyone, the three inclusive packages will appeal to active explorers, eco-conscious couples and newlyweds who simply want to kick back and relax in their own private island paradise.

July 23rdIndonesia

Bawah Reserve is one of Indonesia’s most exclusive, romantic and far away resorts, situated in the Anambas Islands accessible only via private seaplane from Singapore. This summer, Bawah will launch three brand new honeymoon packages ideal for those looking for a once in a lifetime getaway: Earth Honeymoon – for nature lovers with the greater good in mind, Explorer Honeymoon – for outdoor explorers with an appetite for adventure and Bliss Honeymoon – for those seeking the pinnacle of pampering and privacy.

Bawah Reserve believes that while the wedding may be over, the celebrations have just begun and the resort offers the perfect backdrop for honeymoon memories that will last a lifetime. The three new programmes incorporate the natural elements of Bawah’s six tropical islands, 13 beaches, lush forests, and three lagoons, paired with welcoming Indonesian hospitality, expert spa treatments, healthy organic meals and unforgettable activities.

EARTH HONEYMOON
Bawah Reserve was created with sustainability front of mind and the resort is a pioneer in eco-friendly practices. These include solar water heating and desalination systems, fortnightly cleaning of its beaches, setting up a nursery to repopulate the islands’ forests and creating a 500sq m permaculture garden. Bawah is the first island in Indonesia to be powered by a renewable microgrid and has recently been awarded a 5-star signing blue certificate from WWF, continuing its commitment to responsible tourism. Eco-conscious couples who choose the Earth Honeymoon option, will share their experience with Mother Nature, allowing them to feel restored whilst reducing their carbon footprint. During their trip, newlyweds will hike through Bawah’s lush forest to a private beach picnic lunch, harvest fresh vegetables and spices from the hotel’s permaculture gardens to use in an Indonesian garden-to-plate cooking class. They will help maintain the spectacular surroundings as they assist the Bawah team collecting debris that may have washed ashore during a morning beach walk and embrace the local culture with a private batik painting class, showcasing the heritage craft. A conservation scuba dive with the resort’s in-house Marine Biologist to track the progress of coral regrowth is also included, alongside a moonlight meditation and yoga session and private sunset dining experience featuring a four-course vegetarian dinner with wine to enjoy from the Lookout at Treetops – high up in the canopy and surrounded by trees.

EXPLORER HONEYMOON
Bawah Reserve is far from a fly and flop destination and is an ideal choice for couples looking for an active honeymoon. The Explorer option promises to help newlyweds connect with their partner and with nature, as they discover all the Reserve has to offer. On arrival, a dedicated Island Host will present couples with a tailored itinerary, packed full of exciting Anambas Island inspired activities. During their stay, guests will enjoy a guided lagoon snorkel to ‘find Nemo’ and explore Bawah’s magnificent coral reefs, which are reputedly ten times more diverse than Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. They will watch the sunrise during a forest hike for an invigorating start to the day and kayak to a remote beach where a castaway picnic lunch will be waiting for them, without another person in sight. They will delight with a playful true love Treasure Hunt before trying their hand at cocktail-making with a garden-to-glass class – harvesting fresh spices from the Bawah permaculture garden. After a fun-filled day of exploring, honeymooners will kick back and relax with a revitalising foot massage (complete with massage oil to take home), a romantic couples wellbeing session including a private SUP yoga class to test their balance and floating meditation. They will end the day with a candlelit beach dinner for two under a blanket of stars.

BLISS HONEYMOON
This honeymoon package is designed for couples looking for the ultimate tropical island respite, surrounded by exquisite nature. Guests will start the day with a guided morning forest hike, followed by a coffee making class with the Bawah barista. They will be treated to a heavenly Spa Explorer experience which includes a boat ride to a secluded pavilion for a couple’s massage as well as an indulgent tapas tasting experience in the Jules Verne bar, complete with a flight of four sharing cocktails. They will be spoilt with dinner on their very own private island topped off with Champagne and they will even spend one special evening with a romantic movie night in the comfort of their own villa, with popcorn, blankets and movie of their choice. Daily treatments at the Aura Spa will ensure the stress of the wedding will soon be entirely washed away. Calming treatments include the likes of ‘Lost Treasure’, a full body oil massage designed to heal from head to toe, using rare, thunder-struck wood to spread energising vibrations into the muscle and ‘Facial Yoga’, a jade stone facial that stimulates blood circulation, oxygenating and nourishing the tissue.

SIBBJÄNS ARRIVES ON GOTLAND, SWEDEN

SIBBJÄNS ARRIVES ON GOTLAND, SWEDEN

SIBBJÄNS ARRIVES ON GOTLAND, SWEDEN

A REGENERATIVE FARM STAY SHAPED BY SEASONS, FRIENDSHIP AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

Sweden

Sibbjäns began quietly, the combined dream of Jonas Nordlander and Sanna Rönn, who with close friends and many meaningful couples Pontus and Kina Zeidler share a life between Stockholm and Gotland. Over the past four years, they have steadily transformed this former horse farm into a regenerative stay that feels singular to anywhere else in Scandinavia.

After a soft opening in 2025 for friends and family, the farm stay now enters 2026 as its first full season, opening more intentionally to a like-minded global community drawn to nature, food, and thoughtful design.

A PLACE TO REST

22 individually designed rooms sit across the Hotel and ‘The Bunkhouse,’ each named after important women in the family and among their friends. Adorned with classic Scandi touches of sheepskin throws, limewashed walls, soft palettes, and contemporary art, the spaces are designed for comfort.

Buildings are framed by wildflowers and constructed using traditional methods, much of the work completed by hand, with local craftsmanship central to the process. Architect Maja Berg has been a key contributor, working alongside Erik Larsson, a Master of Gotlandic Craft Heritage, who built some of the original buildings himself and continues to pass on traditional building knowledge to the next generation.

THE KITCHEN FOLLOWS THE FARM

At the heart of Sibbjäns is a working farm home to hens, Mangalitza pigs, horses, and sheep, with agriculture guiding both the kitchen and the guest experience.

In the gardens, lead gardener and local Karin Winarve brings a quiet hand to what thrives here across meadows, vegetable beds, and fruit-growing plots. Produce is grown on-site and harvested seasonally, forming the backbone of a true farm-to-table approach—one that pauses entirely during the winter months when the land rests.

EXPERIENCES & ‘VIKING WELLNESS’

New for the 2026 season, wellbeing at Sibbjäns is restorative rather than prescriptive. Inspired by Nordic traditions and the physicality of outdoor life, the evolving wellness offering includes:

  • A hand-built yoga barn

  • A wood-fired sauna

  • An outdoor gym

  • Recreational spaces

  • The beginnings of what will become one of the world’s most beautiful tennis courts.

The surrounding landscape invites guests to engage with nature on its own terms, from cycling or horse riding across open farmland to kitesurfing along Gotland’s windswept coastline (widely regarded as one of the finest spots in Europe for the sport). This is ‘Viking wellness’ in spirit—elemental, grounding, and quietly transformative.

SWEDEN’S ‘SUNSHINE ISLAND’

Gotland is Sweden’s sunniest destination, known for its distinctive light, limestone landscapes, and strong ‘right to roam’ ethos. Open from Easter through to Christmas and closed entirely during the dark winter months, Sibbjäns follows the natural calendar rather than resisting it.

Reaching it is part of the journey:

  • A short flight from Stockholm to the island’s capital of Visby, followed by a drive across the island.

  • A ferry crossing that reinforces the sense of arrival somewhere distinct and deliberately unhurried.

  • For those preferring a more direct approach, arrival by helicopter is also possible.

At its core, Sibbjäns remains a place for friends old and new built slowly, grounded in nature, and designed to endure.
