  • The Kensington has announced their new family package: ‘Suite Nannies’, available to book from 21st December, inspired by the release of the new Mary Poppins Returns film starring Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep. Guests can book a stay in one of the hotel’s top suites to guarantee a city-break to remember for the whole family. The package includes their very own ‘Mary Poppins’ style nanny from the renowned Imperial Nannies agency for 12 hours per day, as well as local excursions, games and tasty treats.

In order to provide parents with some well-deserved respite, or for those visiting London on business with the family, the new ‘Suite Nannies’ package offers the ideal solution, whilst ensuring the little ones maximise their time in the city and are stimulated throughout.

As part of the package, Sara Jane Ambrose, Founder of the UK’s leading nanny agency, Kensington-based Imperial Nannies, will hand-pick the perfect companion for each family booking the package. They will act as the children’s very own ‘Mary Poppins’ and even come equipped with their very own Mary Poppins carpet bag, full of toys, games and surprises for the children to enjoy. The package also includes trips to local attractions with the nanny in the nearby area, catering to children of all ages. These include the likes of nearby Battersea Children’s Zoo, Kensington Palace, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum.

After a busy day exploring the city, the family can meet up at The Kensington once again and enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea together in the Drawing Room. The day ends with hot chocolate and storytelling for the children back at the suite, whilst parents can kick back at the hotel’s stylish K Bar and enjoy a selection of small plates and a bottle of Perrier Jouet’s vintage Belle Epoque Blanc De Blancs, all of which is included in the package.

Sara Jane, Founder of Imperial Nannies comments: “I am delighted to have partnered with The Kensington hotel to create this exciting package. These days, parents travelling for work often choose to bring their families along with them and ensuring they have their very own ‘Mary Poppins’ nanny to entertain and take care of the children, provides them with great reassurance. The experience for the children will be both fun and educational and will allow for some much-needed down time for hard-working parents.”

The package is bookable in either The Kensington, The Knightsbridge or The Brompton Suites. For the ultimate London residence, The Kensington Suite is likened to spacious, private apartment, perfect for families. Private, interconnecting doorways allow guests to enjoy the run of two separate living rooms, three bedrooms and three bathrooms, while a balcony overlooks the suite’s prime position on the leafy corner of two of South Kensington’s classic thoroughfares. The Brompton Suite is a graceful throwback to Victorian grandeur, while The Knightsbridge takes the same classical template and casts it in a more vibrant, contemporary rendering. These suites can be combined into a beautiful family residence, complete with twentieth-century artwork, polished wood veneer furniture, decorative fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony.

The Kensington is London’s finest townhouse hotel, sitting in the heart of South Kensington, where Queen’s Gate meets the Old Brompton Road and comprises four traditional white Victorian townhouses. Set amongst the leafy squares, museums and parks of the Royal borough, The Kensington feels more like a beautiful private residence than traditional hotel. Town House is the fabulous hotel restaurant, which is interconnected with The Drawing Rooms on the ground floor, ideal for elegant afternoon tea in front of the open fire or a relaxed meeting, while K Bar is their glamorous bar, a perfect hotspot for delicious cocktails and light bites. It comprises of 126 rooms and 24 suites, all of which are individually designed with elegant fabrics and hand-picked furniture to compliment the hotel’s period architecture. Kensington is one of London’s most affluent and exclusive neighbourhoods – home to the monarchy at Kensington Palace since 1689 and the official ‘royal borough’ since 1901.
