Following a morning of activity, guests who book the experience can make the most of their time by the river and enjoy a lazy afternoon admiring the passing punters, indulging on a much-loved takeaway Afternoon Tea on the banks, created by the expert team at the hotel’s destination dining restaurant, Parker’s Tavern.

By night, guests will in one of the 192 beautifully and ‘playfully’ designed rooms and suites at the hotel. Serving up grown up glamour at its very finest, the quintessentially British hotel has played an important role in the history of the city and has been immaculately restored to its former glory since opening in 1834. After a two-year £80m transformation, the hotel reopened in 2018 with the literary and academic spirit of Cambridge at its heart. The hotel is home to destination restaurant Parker’s Tavern, bar, library, fitness suite, underground valet car park, and two treatment rooms.

HOW: The Fun on the River Cam package at University Arms, Cambridge starts at £489 per night for two guests on a B&B basis. This price includes one riverside activity for two, takeaway Parker’s Tavern Afternoon Tea for two and access to University Arms bikes.
