The one Michelin starred Il Riccio at Capri Palace, which occupies a series of picturesque terraces above the Blue Grotto, on the island of Capri, is one of the Mediterranean’s most special and beautiful restaurants. Guests can arriving either by land, only ten minutes from the Piazzetta of Capri, or by boat, mooring at the beach club’s buoys and then transferring to the hotel by tender.  Part of the Capri Palace – and now part of new hotel collection Mytha Hotel Anthology – this iconic restaurant concept will now expand across the Atlantic for the first time to Miami.

Back in 2008, the story of Il Riccio started following a major refurbishment of this once forgotten stunning corner in Anacapri.  In 2009, the Restaurant and Beach Club opened – led by Andrea Migliaccio, executive chef, and his dedicated team. In 2013, Il Riccio and its resident chef, talented Salvatore Elefante, was awarded its first star. Following this success, a second  “Il Riccio” opened in Turkey, in May 2015 inside the D-Maris Bay on the Datça Peninsula. Two months later it reached “the land of eternal blue” in Bodrum within a boutique hotel, with ten undeniable Mediterranean suites designed by Italian architect, Fabrizia Frezza – Il Riccio Beach House.

The new 200 cover restaurant which is scheduled to launch on Miami’s South Beach this autumn, will feature the indoor and outdoor spaces that includ a covered patio lounge area, with comfortable couches and tables, ideal for lazy lunches or romantic dinners, a second external space facing the street, so diners can become immersed in the bustle of the city, as well as a stylish bar at the entrance of the restaurant. Il Riccio  in Miami will be overseen by origional member’s of the Il Riccio team in Capri, including Resident Chef Giovanni Caiazzo and two Assistant Managers, who will aim to transport the Il Riccio lifestyle from the Amalfi to Miami.

Il Riccio evokes the most romantic Mediterranean atmosphere. With its white-and-blue design scheme, it exudes retro seaside style and guests can have lunch and dinner almost every hour of the day.
A true reflection of Mediterranean cuisine, focused on high quality regional products, Il Riccio is famous for featuring fresh-caught fish and other seafood specialities, home made pasta and an assortment of compelling desserts and the best of classic Neapolitan pastries, to be found in the inviting “Temptation Room”.

“I am so proud” – states Andrea Migliaccio, Executive Chef – “that not only is the Capri Palace the only hotel on Capri which boasts two Michelin starred restaurants, but that the great high quality Mediterranean ingredients, our refined simplicity in cooking them and our talented, so impeccably trained, staff are conquering the world, thanks to Il Riccio going international”.

Ermanno Zanini, Managing Director of Mytha Hotel Anthology adds: “It is thanks to our owners – The Dogus Group – that Il Riccio’s unique concept surrounding tasty and healthy cuisine, enhanced by its competent staff, could develop into a collection of  soon to be five restaurants, in three continents, inside and outside our own hotels. Our loyal guests recognise the ‘Mediterranean Taste of Time’, which is the motto of our hotel Anthology as well”.
